Our Script

The salt cave is a place to venture in. Right at the entrance the crevices are narrow, you have to be very careful with the tips of the salt rock not to hurt, but regardless the ride is amazing.

A wonderful replica of a Roman theater made by Mother Nature herself, the place is charming. The trails to reach the top of the amphitheater are a bit tricky, but when we get up there the reward is well worth it.

Enchanting sculptures carved in stone for millions of years, made by nature itself. It is said that the formation of the sculptures is similar to 3 women, the details are impressive and very worth knowing.

Salt mines are practically reminiscent of an ancient mining history, mineral salt extraction was a widely exploited commercial activity in Atacama. Nowadays many mines are deactivated and have become tourist spots in the region. Beside the salt mine are remains of a building, most likely used by the miners who worked there, which turned out to be a great setting for pictures with the sun in the background.

It works like a lookout, from where you can see every valley and the beautiful lunar landscapes, and some volcanoes to the horizon. Prepare your camera because the place gives you beautiful photos.

There are many versions for the origin of the name Valle de la Muerte, the locals say it was to be called Valle de Mars, who suggested that the name was a French scientist who found the place very similar to the images of the planet Mars and wanted put the name of Valle de Mars, but as it did not speak Spanish very well, people understood that it was the Valle de la Muerte (Valle da Morte). Others say the name came about because many people who got lost in the desert eventually died in that valley, so Valle de la muerte. The place is charming, especially at sunset which brings a view is amazing.
