Even before reaching the Salar de Tara you will pass the monks, known as guardians of La Pakana, are two giant stone pillars built vertically with a structure very similar to Easter Island moais. They were named after it because the central part of the monument assimilated with the fine silhouettes of the monks.
The Blancos monks reveal a unique artistic trace of nature by demonstrating their tone amidst the landscapes. These are the formation carved by volcanic ash and next to them the famous cathedrals carved by the erosion of wind and water over thousands of years.
